Staying Smoke-Free

If you've made the decision to avoid smoking, it may help you to have an excuse ready for the times you're feeling the pressure from your peers. When offered a cigarette have a handy excuse ready - like "I don't like it" or "I need to keep in shape for (insert your sport here)" or "I am allergic." You don't need to go into detail why you choose not to, or argue with a friend. It also helps to avoid being around people when they are smoking. If your friend goes out for a smoke break at school - don't go with them.

If you're already a smoker and you want to stop, there is hope.
